Advertisers have been experimenting for a while with personalized videos (the line between entertainment and ad is quite blurry). The best one I have seen so far is an award winning Desperados ad on (of course) YouTube. A couple of bits and pieces are just really really good: The video makes use of the YouTube UI (like volume control) and uses it differently, it also makes massive use of layers to really use the whole page for the ad. And last but not least it integrates nicely with Facebook being polite and only asking for permission to use your pictures for that specific experience. It’s worth having a look – check it out!
